Anna Louise Tolan, RDH, FADIA
Anna Louise is not just a dental professional with over four decades of clinical experience. She is a mentor, a leader and a passionate advocate for excellence in dental hygiene care. Her clinical experience has spanned general practice, specialty periodontal and implant therapy, and care for medially compromised clients, always with a person-centered approach. As a respected Key Opinion Leader, industry advisor, and trainer in the Dental Hygiene Implant Certification program, Anna Louise has inspired colleagues across Canada and internationally, sparking enthusiasm for knowledge and change.
As she approaches the final years of her clinical practice, Anna Louise is committed to sharing her expertise more broadly. Kerry Lepicek, RDH
Kerry Lepicek, RDH, is an experienced dental hygienist with over 20 years of clinical practice. She works at Clinical Research Dental as a Clinical Specialist in Dental Hygiene and Education and also part-time In a general practice. Kerry’s expertise includes oral biofilm, halitosis, the oral-systemic connection and the dental hygiene process of care. She is focused on educating patients and the dental profession on health and wellness.
Kerry is involved in various dental organizations, including as section editor for Women in Dentistry, on the Research Advisory Committee for the Ontario Dental Hygiene Association and on the Advisory Board for RDH Magazine. She recently received the Distinguished Services Award from the Ontario Dental Hygienists Association (ODHA) for outstanding contributions to the dental hygiene profession and the Association. As a respected thought leader and international, award-winning speaker, Jo-Anne Jones has done over 1,000 presentations worldwide inspiring audiences with a dynamic speaking style that has made her a sought-after lecturer in the dental community. Jo-Anne Jones, the 2026 Dentistry Today CE Leaders for the 16th consecutive year, is a previous DPR Top 25 Women in Dentistry honoree, published internationally, and a 2021 Fellowship Award recipient with the International Academy for Dental Facial Esthetics. Jo-Anne’s reputation for clinical excellence translated into practical, life-saving action has evolved into Expert Witness Consulting, where she contributes her insight to personal injury cases.
Her expertise has also led to her participation in a film trailer for an upcoming Documentary examining the rapidly changing profile of oral and oropharyngeal Cancers. PROBIOTICS AND THE FUTURE OF PERIODONTAL DISEASE PREVENTION
Dr. Michael Glogauer, DDS., PH.D., DIP. (PERIO)
Dr. Glogauer is an internationally-recognized dental clinician scientist (DDS, 1993 PhD, 1999, Dip Perio, 1999) and a leader in the fields of Dentistry, Oral immunity, Oral diseases, Alveolar bone grafting and the links between Oral health and Systemic health. He completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School (1999-2001). He is a Professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto (since 2002), Head of Dentistry for University Health Network, Chief of Dental Oncology at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and owner of OMG Perio, a periodontal and dental implant practice in Hamilton, Ontario. He has received awards for recognition of scientific excellence (Quality of Life research award from Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)-IMHA-2006) and has been funded by MRC/CHR since 1994. He has generated over 220 peer reviewed publications in the fields of dentistry, oral health and immunology with over 17,700 citations and an H-Factor of 66. He has 4 patents and is CEO and Co-Founder of start-up Ostia Sciences which focuses on the microbiome testing and probiotic development. He is a fellow in the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences.

April Smith is the owner and CEO of Lakeshore Dental Consultants, an Academy of General Dentistry PACE-approved provider of continuing education. She specializes in compliance education, delivering practical training in Infection, Prevention and Control, Occupational Health and Safety Awareness, WHIMIS, and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
With more than 25 years of experience, April is recognized for her ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable learning. She has presented to Public Health Units, the Canadian Institute for Public Health Inspectors, regulatory and membership organizations, study clubs, and dental industry partners.
Known for her engaging and straightforward teaching style, April has earned the respect of dentists, denturists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants throughout Ontario. Her presentations combine current evidence, real-world application, and practical strategies that empower clinicians to implement compliance with confidence.
In addition to her educational work, April serves as a Territory Manager for PDT and Kuraray Dental, maintaining strong connections with the evolving needs of today’s dental professionals.

Dr. Sanjukta “Sanj” Mohanta, BSC., DDS.
Sanjukta “Sanj” Mohanta is a general dentist with a practice in Bolton called Watermelon Dental. She graduated from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 1999 and received their Alumni of Influence award. She started the New Dentist Study Club and hosts their podcast. Sanj is a writer, speaker, mentor, advocate and volunteer. She received the Ontario Dental Association’s (ODA) Merit Award and Service Award.
Sanj provides dental care to remote Indigenous communities with the ODA’s Remote Areas Program and provides free dental care with
Filling the Gap Dental Outreach in Toronto, and Great Shape! 1,000 Smiles in the Caribbean.
